Hi, I’m Katie. I’ve been meticulously planning trips for myself, and family and friends, for the last 20 years.

My background is in brand communications, but my passion for travel, especially travel planning, led me to launch My Travel Trove.

I saw a gap in the market for a transparent travel planning service for the non-package crowd. A service where my skill for finding the hidden gems, the secret spots, the non-obvious choices, could be shared. 

My wanderlust has led to great adventures over the years. Most recently; sloth spotting from a Costa Rican jungle cabin, indulging in the delights of Mexico’s culinary capital, Oaxaca, and exploring the largely undiscovered Greek island of Tinos.

Everyone marvels at how I spend days scanning hotel and restaurant reviews, working out routes and comparing flight prices. My love of lists and organisation - a Virgo through and through - means my planning always pays off. Over the last two decades we have traveled extensively, and I can count on one hand the number of times a holiday encounter hasn’t met my expectations.
